Email newsletter policy
Subscribers to the WTGS email newsletter can expect to receive one to three emails per month. We send our newsletter only to people who have given us their consent. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email you receive, or by emailing us at secretariat@transformingsecurity.org with your request. You may also ask to be “forgotten,” meaning we will remove your information from our database entirely. Sign up here to receive our email newsletter.
SMS policy
Subscribers who opt in to WTGS text updates can expect to receive one to two text messages per month with news, updates, events, and campaigns. We send text messages only to people who have given us explicit consent. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP or contact us at secretariat@transformingsecurity.org. Message and data rates may apply.
Donor privacy policy
The three founding organizations (Ploughshares, Horizon 2045, and The Elders) of WTGS will not share or sell a donor's personal information with anyone else, nor send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations.

What information do we collect?
We collect information from you when you register on our site or fill out a form.
When making a donation, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, mailing address, and payment information. You may, however, visit our site anonymously.
What does WTGS use user information for?
Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:
- To personalize your experience (your information helps us to better respond to your individual needs)
- To improve the WTGS website (we strive to improve our website offerings based on the information and feedback we receive from you)
- To send periodic emails and SMS messages. The email address and SMS number you provide for order processing, may be used to send you information and updates. If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails or SMS messages, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email, and in the opt-in SMS message.
- To administer a promotion or survey
How do we protect your information?
We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. Online donations are processed securely through our donation platform, Chariot. WTGS does not store your credit card, bank account, or donor-advised fund account details on our servers. Chariot’s handling of your information is governed by its own privacy policy, available at https://www.givechariot.com/privacy.
Do we disclose any information to outside parties?
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect our or others rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer third party services on our websites. These third party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites.
